| Jesus said, . . . "Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin. And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field . . . shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? . . . Your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things" (Matt. 6:26-32) | | |

Look at Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ was the greatest mountain climber of all times. He climbed all the way to the top of the mountain of Calvary. And from that point He has been conquering the hearts of men and women for two thousand years. From His mountain peak, Jesus Christ won my heart.
But Jesus didn't have to climb that mountain-He could have stopped before He reached the top. Praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus said, "Father, Father, everything is possible for you. Take away this cup from me. Yet your will, not mine, be done" (Mark 14:36). He could have escaped the mob that arrested Him, but He didn't. He wasn't martyred, tricked, or cornered. He willingly sacrificed His life, for it was all part of the plan. Jesus knew what He had to do, and with joy He set His face to the cross!
Who killed Jesus? Nobody did. "Nobody takes my life from me," he said, adding, "I give it up!" So his death was not a murder, not an execution, and not a suicide-but a sacrifice. Suicide is the ultimate act of selfishness. Sacrifice is the ultimate act of self-giving love. What a Lord we have in Christ.

He Restoreth My Soul
Can you remember a night when you could not sleep? It seemed the day would never dawn. You finally rose from a bed that refused to give you comfort or rest. You walked out into the still black morning. You looked anxiously for the first stirring of creeping daylight but the morning star was still sleeping under the blanket of night. Around you an unlighted world huddled in the chilly shadows. Would daylight never come?
And then, out of the silent shadows, you heard a single note-the sweet, fresh, wide-awake note of a bird! And after a pause another note from another corner answered. The birds stirred. Note answered note. Song answered song until the wakening birds made the morning happy with music, as if singing a processional for the royal sun about to make its gallant entrance over the eastern hill. And the born-again morning finally came. Daylight was restored.
"He restoreth my soul." It is God's way of promising us that after a fitful night there will be a new day; after the storm, new calmness; after the night, a new day; and after the winter, a resurrected springtime.

Picking Up Behind Us
A son plants his little flower in the garden and does a poor job of it. After he has gone to the street to play, his father finishes the job, and corrects his son's mistakes. But the son never knows it, and the flower grows and blooms. Weeks later the son calls his friends in and brags about his expert gardening. He does not realize that the plant would have withered and died if his father had not replanted it in soft, moist soil....
Often, God is good in ways beyond our knowledge. God does so much for us that we never know about!!His goodness "follows" us..That means that we never see a great deal of good that God does as He follows in our track. It is like a mother or a father who picks up after the children long after they are asleep in their beds. God is always picking up after us.... | | |
